The Perfect Sugar Cookies
SUGAR COOKIES
Sugar cookies are one of my favorite things to bake, especially in February, for Valentine’s Day. Maybe Grandma Glenny inspired me as I grew up with her famous sugar cookies. The whole family loves them!
I ventured out to find my own perfect sugar cookie recipe. A little soft, a little crunchy, and a lot of love. The past few years I tried a few different options, and I am happy to share my results.
RECIPES
For those of you who want to both bake and make the cookie dough the same day please check out Two Sister’s Crafting The Best Sugar Recipe for a great option. If you have a few days to prep, please check out The Food Network’s Sugar Cookie recipe and also their Royal Icing. I recommend to make both this cookie recipe and icing ahead of time and keep in the fridge overnight, as suggested. You will thoroughly enjoy either cookie recipe, but I prefer the frosting and cookie recipe linked from The Food Network. The recipes are linked above to the websites.
REMEMBER
As you prepare, add few days of prep time, fun cookie cutters, food coloring (I used red to create pink/red) for the frosting, and sprinkles are great additions to your cookie baking experience.
